Chiefs' Kareem Hunt named PFWA Rookie of the Year

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt named Rookie of the Year by the Pro Football Writers of America.

Hunt finished the season leading the league in rushing with 1,327 yards. He's the second Chiefs' rookie to rush for more than 1,000 yards in a season.

He rushed for eight touchdowns while catching three more.

Hunt was a third round pick in the 2017 NFL draft (No. 98 overall).

Chiefs' kicker Harrison Butker was also named to the All-Rookie team after making 38 of 42 field goals attempted.
