Baylor beats K-State 37-34 to hand Wildcats third straight loss

WACO, Texas (WIBW) - Despite a huge day on the ground for Alex Barnes, Kansas State couldn't stop its losing streak at Baylor.

The Bears kicked a go-ahead field goal with eight seconds left to top the Wildcats 37-34 on Saturday. Barnes ran for a career-high 250 yards with three touchdowns.

Skylar Thompson started for K-State at quarterback while Alex Delton was inactive. Thompson threw for 50 yards and scored two total touchdowns while also throwing two interceptions. The second one was costly, as it came in the fourth quarter to lead Baylor to a go-ahead touchdown and give the Bears a 34-27 lead.

Thompson responded with a touchdown pass to Dalvin Warmack to tie the game. Baylor came back with a 76-yard drive to set up Connor Martin's game-winning field goal from 29 yards out.
