Barry Brown to play in Reese's College All-Star Game

(WIBW) - Barry Brown's stellar final season at Kansas State has earned him a spot along the country's best seniors for a national showcase.

K-State announced the guard will play in the Reese's College All-Star Game on April 5 in Minneapolis at 3:30 p.m. It's an event where the top 20 seniors in the nation split up into two teams, West and East, to play against one another.

Brown, who's slated to be on the West team, will become the first Wildcat to take part in this event since Rodney McGruder in 2013. He was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-Big 12 First Team selection.

The departing Wildcat led KSU in almost all statistical categories this season, including scoring (14.6 ppg.), double-digit scoring games (28), 20-point games (seven), field goals made (184) and attempted (425), free throws made (88) and attempted (124) and steals (65). He leaves the program as its all-time leader in in games played (139), consecutive games played (139) and steals (254).
