MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Change of plans for former Kansas State quarterback Alex Delton.

Instead of transferring to Texas-El Paso to finish out his eligibility, Delton will be heading to TCU, according to his Twitter account.

On Dec. 27, Delton tweeted he would be leaving the Wildcats to join the Miners and head coach Dana Dimel in El Paso. Dimel is a former K-State offensive coordinator.

Now, Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs will get the former Cactus Bowl MVP.

Delton leaves Kansas State with 868 yards on the ground and 1,202 yards through the air over his career. He will be eligible to play in Fort Worth immediately.
