Glazed Nuts


1 package (6 oz.) roasted salted soy nuts
1 package (16 oz.) roasted mixed nuts
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
¼ teaspoon salt


Combine the soy nuts, mixed nuts, sugar, water and salt in a large heavy saucepan. Bring mixture to a bowl and cook until liquid has evaporated and mixture reaches 250o F. Stir periodically. Spoon mixture on parchment lined 15x10-inch pan. Bake at 300 o F. for 30 to 35 minutes until nuts are dry and lightly browned. Cool completely. Makes 5 cups.
