Teen connected to deadly shooting turns himself in to police

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - 16-year-old Zachary McFall turned himself in to Topeka Police custody Saturday evening.

According to TPD, McFall came to the Law Enforcement Center and was transported to the Juvenile Dept. of Corrections for first-degree murder.

Police had been searching for him after a July 25th shooting, but did not originally indicate how he was connected.

McFall was wanted for questioning about the killing of Joaquin AJ McKinney, who was found shot in a car near SE 37th St. and Pennsylvania Ave. shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday.

He was taken to a Topeka hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
