MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) - The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce, Women in Business series hosted ‘A Day of Workshops’ focusing on woman-owned small businesses presented by Kansas Small Business Development Center.
Tuesday morning started with a workshop session on marketing for women-owned small businesses, followed by a panel discussion about becoming contracting opportunities and certifications available for small business.
After a brief break for lunch the workshops continued with a session on financing basics, and financing resources available for women-owned small businesses.
The final session of the day was a panel discussion of management related issues for women owned small businesses.
“Getting women to feel confident and encourage them to pursue it is the key, and that is where we come in as a resource.” Kansas PTAC, SubCenter Director, Kristi Dunn says.
