MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) — The man wanted in connection with a Wichita shooting last Wednesday and captured later that day in Manhattan has been charged with attempted murder.
According to the Sedgwick Co. Sheriff's Office, Jeffrey Porter, Jr., was charged with first-degree attempted murder and is being held on $250,000 bond.
Porter was captured around 9 a.m. last Wednesday in the 200 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd., according to the Riley Co. Police Dept.
The Wichita Police Dept. alleges he shot a 21-year-old man around 1 a.m. that morning in the parking lot of the Wildwood Apts., 5001 E. Pawnee, in Wichita. The name of the victim was not released.
