WICHITA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Wichita man agreed to forfeit nearly $100,000 after pleading guilty to a federal gambling charge.

Johnny Steven, 41, admitted he was cooperating with co-defendant Daven Flax in conducting illegal poker games in Wichita.

The games and payment or debt information was communicated through text messages. Steven hid handwritten ledgers and computerized records detailing earnings and obligations after the games were played.

US Attorney Steven McAllister says Steven forfeited $97,600 and was also sentenced to 12 months on supervised federal probation.
