Wamego man confessed to murder of teenager

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Wamego man pleaded no contest Friday in the death of a man found along the Kansas River Christmas Eve.

Cody Lamia-Beck was convicted of intentional second degree murder for the death of Jacob Bouck, 19.

Bouck was missing for several days before his body was discovered Dec. 24th about a mile west of Wamego.

Lamia-Beck was arrested in March.

Pottawatomie County Attorney Sherri Schuck told 13 NEWS he confessed to the killing and both his and Bouck's DNA were found on a knife at the scene.

Lamia-Beck will be sentenced July 19th.
