Walmart and Sam's Club team up to help sick and injured children

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Walmart and Sam's Club are kicking off a fundraising campaign to help sick and injured children.

The campaign is is an effort to raise money for critical treatments, pediatric medical equipment, research, and medical care for The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

To participate, all customers have to do is donate $1 or more when they checkout at Walmart or Sam's Club. You can also spread awareness by using custom CMN Gifs and the hashtag #HelpKidsLiveBetter.

All of the money raised goes to Stormont Vail, which was selected as a Children Miracle Network Hospital in 2018. The campaign runs until July 7th.

“The generosity shown by Walmart and Sam’s Club customers, members and associates during the Children’s Miracle Network fundraising campaign every year is truly inspiring,” said David Carmon, Walmart regional general manager.

To date, $1.6 million has been raised for Stormont Vail and over $1 billion has been raised nationally.
