WIBW-TV brings home top honors at Kansas Association of Broadcasters

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - WIBW TV learned some good news Monday. The station once again earned top honors from the Kansas Association of Broadcasters!

WIBW was named Medium Market Station of the year in this year's competition. We also won the Tony Jewell Award for Community Service for our Wednesday's Child Efforts.

In addition, Chief Photojournalist Doug Brown and Anchor Melissa Brunner won first place in the hard news and news feature categories. Our team also places first in single news coverage for our coverage of the late-may tornadoes and In-Depth News Reporting for our series on the 65th anniversary of the Brown v. Board decision.

WIBW also won several awards for commercial and promotion spots.
