WEEK AHEAD: A Disc Golf tournament, and resume help for veterans!

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW)-- Monday: The Topeka and Shawnee County Library on SW 10th Ave will help veterans create a winning resume. If you have a draft resume, bring it in. Laptops are provided or you can bring your own.

Tuesday: Eric Ives takes us north on Highway 75 to the Whiting Cafe, where they say: "The food is so great, you’ll scrape your plate!" That's on Fork on the Road at 5 p.m.

Wednesday: The Junior Disc Golf World Competition hits Emporia! Find fun activities during this event, including a disc design contest, roller skating and more. The fun will take place on six different courses around Emporia, starting at the Emporia Country Club. Over 300 players are expected!

Thursday: Applications to become a Shawnee County Extension Master Gardener will be available. This volunteering opportunity is only available once a year! you can apply at the Topeka Shawnee County Library.

Friday: Show off your sports chops at the Sunflower State Games! The games include baseball, cricket, golf and more! To compete in a specific sport, please look out for the deadlines you can find out more info here.

Saturday: Saturday the Second Saturday concert series continues....head outside the Celtic Fox Irish Pub and Restaurant, to hear the Marc Houser Band from 7-9 p.m. and MAHAN will be playing from 9:30 p.m.-midnight. The concert is free admission. Want food? Head inside to the Celtic Fox or stop by the Hyvee Food Truck.
