TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka's tourism organization has a change at the top.
The Greater Topeka Partnership announced Brett Oetting stepped down Tuesday as head of Visit Topeka "to pursue other interests," according to a statement from GTP.
Oetting led the group for five years, seeing it through the transition from a stand-alone organization to one of the branches forming the Greater Topeka Partnership, along with Go Topeka, the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce, and Downtown Topeka, Inc.
His official title with GTP was Executive Vice President, President - Visit Topeka.
"The Partnership thanks Brett for his years of service, and for the role he played in forming the Greater Topeka Partnership. We wish him well on his future endeavors," the statement read.
GTP President and CEO Matt Pivarnik will take on responsibilities for Visit Topeka until a new leader is found.
