13 NEWS has learned Pence will come to Topeka the morning after his visit to Wichita for a private fundraiser to support fellow Republican Steve Watkins in his bid for the 2nd Dist. Congressional seat.
Earlier Wednesday, the GOP's gubernatorial candidate Sec. of State Kris Kobach announced the Vice-President would host a rally in Wichita to support him. While the trip is for a private event, Pence may make a public appearance while there, Kansas GOP Chair Kelly Arnold said.
The visit comes on the heels of President Trump's trip to Topeka last weekend to stump for Kobach and fellow Republican Steve Watkins.
Kobach faces Democrat Laura Kelly, Independents Greg Orman, and Rick Kloos, and Libertarian Libertarian Jeff Caldwell; while Watkins is up against Democrat Paul Davis. Election Day is Nov. 6.
