SABETHA, Kan.(WIBW)-- When co-owners Tanya and Dustin Ronnebaum first thought of the concept of their new furniture store business, they knew it needed to be special.
"I felt like, being in a smaller town and a smaller area, it needed one more thing," she said.
That's when Brick Street Furniture and Wine Co. was born.
Anchoring a corner in downtown Sabetha, once inside, customers don't get just food, but the ultimate experience.
Tanya says she was pleased to see customers excited about the concept when they opened their doors.
"I think it was just exciting to have something new, something to do and somewhere to go," she said.
Brick Street Furniture and Wine Co. not only showcases furniture that would appease any interior design buff, it also boasts healthy food and delicious drinks.
"We are all very midwest in our food, we love our classic American," Tanya said, "but I wanted a little bit of a different option."
Customers can choose bites including toasted sandwiches, paninis, and even gourmet soups and tacos. Tanya says it's food you can enjoy and feel good about eating too.
But the wine and full bar is also a showstopper.
"I like to think of myself and what I love to do on a weekend," Tanya said, "I would love nothing more than to shop and have a glass I wine, who doesn't love that?"
Brick Street Furniture and Wine Co. may be new to the block, but Tanya says she hopes they are here to stay.
"I'm always like, come see me and have a drink with me," she said. "I think that's more of it, getting people to come and feel welcome to come.
