TOPEKA (WIBW)--- Topeka Public Schools administrators were on hand to cut the ribbon on the district's new professional development learning center.
It's in the former Bishop Elementary School, on SW 31st Street, east of Gage. The school closed in 2017.
The building is stocked with cutting-edge technology for training. It is the only building specifically designed for professional development in the state.
All the rooms are named for other USD 501 schools that had closed. This is the last major project from a 2014 school bond issue.
