TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two people are in custody after they fled from Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers.
According to KHP, they tried to pull over the maroon car just before 2:00p.m. Thursday after they noticed the tags didn’t match the vehicle and the person driving was wanted for questioning in a case.
Troopers pursued the car at a high rate of speed. Due to the erratic and dangerous conditions of the case, a trooper performed a tactical maneuver forcing the car to stop at SW 10th and Hedgewood Ave.
A man and woman then fled on foot. They were captured a short time later and taken into custody.
They will both be booked into the Shawnee County Jail on various charges.
