Tribal treasurer booted for sexual harassment, breach of duties

HORTON, Kan. (WIBW/MSC News) Kansas' Kickapoo Tribe has removed their treasurer.

According to MSC News, the Kickapoo Tribal Council voted to remove Russell Bradley from his role as treasurer last Friday.

In a news release sent to MSC News, Tribal Chair Lester Randall clarified Bradley's grounds for removal was due to "a breach of fiduciary duty as the Tribe's Chief Financial Officer in failing to preserve and report the financials of the Tribe when requested by the Tribal Council and sexual harassment."

Bradley has been on the Tribal Council for about four years.

The Kickapoo Reservation is located about five miles west of Horton, Kan. and has more than 1,600 members.

Randall says a special election will be held to find a new treasurer, according to MSC News.
