Topeka man who was focus of Silver Alert found safe

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka man with dementia who went missing a week ago was found safe.

The Shawnee County Sheriff's Office says Henry Kampschroeder, 69, was found around 12:15 p.m. Wednesday near SE 3rd and Quincy. They say a citizen spotted him and contacted authorities.

The Sheriff's Office says Kampschroeder was unharmed, and is back with his family.

He was last seen around 10:40 p.m. Nov. 13th at a home in the 3200 block of NW Green Hills Rd. Family and authorities were concerned because of his cognitive issues.
