A Topeka man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he was caught stealing from the Tecumseh Energy Center.
Shawnee County Sheriff Sgt. Todd Stallbaumer said David W. Brooks, 53, was arrested early Thursday morning.
Stallbaumer said around 1 a.m., Westar Energy employees reported a Ford F-150 on the property that didn't belong.
A short time later, Shawnee County Sheriff's Deputies located the truck near Northeast K-4 Highway and Seward Ave.
In the truck were a stolen generator, tools and other items belonging to the power company.
Brooks is facing several charges, including a count of felony burglary, theft, and criminal damage to property.
