OSAGE, CO. (Kan.) A Topeka man is dead after his family says he suffered a massive heart attack and lost control of his vehicle on a snow-covered roadway.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Bradley S. Horton, 62, was driving his 2004 Chevy Silverado northbound on I-335 near mile marker 155 in Osage County just after 9 pm on Friday when he had a heart attack and lost control of the vehicle.

Horton’s truck spun and struck the barrier wall. The vehicle came to a rest facing southeast. According to a family friend who reached out to 13 NEWS, Horton passed away behind the wheel due to the heart attack, not from the crash.

The 62-year-old Horton was pronounced dead at the scene, KHP said.
