Topeka home catches fire early Saturday morning

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) No one was injured in an early morning house fire on Saturday.

The Topeka Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1821 SW Lincoln St. just after 3:30 a.m.

Fire crews were able to contain the fire to the two story home.

They said everyone inside got out without any injuries.

Fire investigators said the blaze started in the attic of the home, but the cause is undetermined.

Topeka Fire said it caused $12,000 in damages.

Crews said there were no working smoke alarms in the home.
