TPD searching for two persons of interest in early morning carjacking

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) The Topeka Police Dept. released surveillance pictures of two persons of interest in an early Wednesday morning carjacking and is urging anyone who recognizes them to contact investigators.

According to TPD, officers responded to reports of an aggravated burglary at the Kwik Shop in the 1700 block of SW Topeka Blvd. shortly before 6 a.m. There, they were told a woman got into a vehicle, forced a passenger to get out, and drove off.

The car was found abandoned shortly thereafter near the NW Jackson and Crane intersection.
