Police believe man found with gunshot wounds accidentally shot himself

A man was found with gunshot wounds near downtown Topeka Saturday night.
After further investigation Topeka Police believe his injuries were accidentally self-inflicted.
According to the Topeka Police watch commander he was found in the area of 300 SW Harrison with non-life threatening injuries shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
TPD arrived on the scene after receiving a report of aggravated battery.
They are not looking for any additional people at this time.
