Topeka Dentistry breaks ground on new facility

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Topeka Dentistry broke ground on their new facility Friday.

The new facility, located near Lake Shawnee at 3316 SE 28th Terrace, will allow them to do things they couldn't before, such as dental implant treatments, same-day crowns, and easier digital dental impressions.

"We are able to put in some technology that we can not have in our building, which will allow us to treat our patients better, diagnose better, more convenient treatment, with some same-day opportunities that we don't currently have," Peterson said.

Formerly known as East Topeka Dental Associates, Topeka Dentistry felt a new name would be appropriate for the new building.

Owners Ben Rutherford and Carrie Peterson say the new name will be more recognizable and less exclusive than the previous one.

Along with their new name -- the new facility will offer better and more efficient care to more people than before.

"We will continue to provide patients with the same family-friendly, honest, and kind dental care," Peterson said. "However, we will be able to offer our patients more convenience and more treatment options."
