Top Dog shuts down over unpaid taxes

TOPEKA (WIBW)-- A Topeka business is shut down over unpaid taxes.

The Kansas Department of Revenue seized the assets of Top Dog at 4140 SW Huntoon. A sign indicating the action was posted on the business.

The state says Top Dog owes $48,309.31 in sales tax.

The state seized all known bank accounts, on-site cash, business inventory, and personal property of owner William W. Hunt.

Revenue officials say Hunt has 48 hours from Monday to clear the problem and get his property back.

Top Dog opened about a year and a half-ago, specializing exclusively in hot dogs.
