HOLTON, Kan. (WIBW) -- A teen was injured Thursday morning when she rear-ended a truck on Hwy. 75.

According to the Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office, Emilee Borders was heading north on Hwy. 75, just outside of Holton, around 8:00 a.m. As she approached the Frontage Rd. intersection the 18-year-old's Kia Rio smashed into the back of a Ford F-150, which had slowed to turn right.

Sheriff Tim Morse says Borders suffered minor injuries and was taken to Holton Community Hospital.

The other driver, identified as Kimberly Hoffman, of Effingham, was not hurt, he added. The 38-year-old Hoffman woman was able to drive the truck
