TPD to host LIVE conversation on social media about stolen guns

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Topeka Police Department has released new stats that has them so concerned, they will be hosting a live conversation about it on Facebook.

According to a post on the TPD Facebook page, so far in 2020, 30 burglaries have been reported where firearms was stolen. They add that 37 firearms were stolen and 20 of the 37 stolen guns were from vehicles.

Those stats prompted Chief Bill Cochran to host the Facebook LIVE conversation, answering questions and talking about the issue.

The LIVE video will be hosted on Topeka Police Department Facebook page starting at 10:00am Friday.
