TPD searching for suspect in puppy theft

Topeka police are searching for a man who stole an English bulldog puppy from Petland Sunday.

TPD says an older man reportedly came into the West Ridge Mall store and asked to see the puppy. When the employee walked away to help another customer, the man disappeared.

They are looking for a white man with a white beard, standing over 6 ft. and under 200 lbs. He was seen wearing a big dark colored coat, bright blue shoes, and a black hat.

English bulldog puppies can cost over $5,000, according to
