TPD releases surveillance video of weekend armed robbery

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Newly released surveillance video shows an armed robbery at a Topeka convenience store over the weekend.

The Topeka Police Dept. shared the video Tuesday morning, asking for the public's help identifying any of the suspects. While all three of them wore masks at the time, investigators recommend noting the suspects' mannerisms or any other identifying characteristics, adding that "(t)he smallest detail could assist investigators in the case."

According to police, the three men went into the Quick Stop, at 1107 SW 6th Ave. shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday and demanded money. The video shows the trio rummaging through the cash register. trying to dig out their loot.

They were last seen heading down an alley on the south side of 6th Ave., from SW Clay St., police noted. Witnesses also told investigators that they were in a silver or white passenger car.
