Man dies after being shot at southwest Topeka apartment complex

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police confirm the man shot at a southwest apartment complex Saturday night, has died.

TPD says officers arrived at the 1100 block of SW Hillsdale St. around 8:50 p.m. for a shooting.

When they arrived on scene, they found 25-year-old Robert McKinsey James outside the building shot several times.

He was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Officer are still searching for the suspect(s).They are looking for a black, older model Chevy SUV. Officials said two people were in the vehicle but there is no description on the suspects.
