TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) The Topeka Police Department is investigating after a person crashed into a house Saturday morning and died.
Topeka police said officers responded to a one car crash at SW 21st and Randolph just after 1 a.m.
When officers arrived they found the car had left the roadway, struck a fence and a house in the 2700 Blk. of SW 21st St.
Authorities say the driver, whose name has not been released, was found to be unresponsive.
Lt. Steve Roth says officers attempted life saving measures until medical personnel arrived, but determined their efforts were no longer useful.
Lt. Roth says at this point they don't know why the driver left the roadway.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
