TPD investigates late-night doughnut shop holdup

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - Topeka Police are looking for the man who held up a doughnut shop.

Authorities say, just after 10 p.m. Thursday, a person walked through the back door at the Dunkin' Donuts near SW 21st and Gage, took money, and ran off.

TPD says the suspect was dressed in black, with their face covered and a jacket or coat with a hood covering their head. Witnesses could not tell if the suspect was a man or woman.

This was at least the third robbery to a business that Topeka Police investigated Thursday. The Walgreens at SW 37th and Topeka Blvd. was held up around 0:30 a.m., while The Mexican Taco Shop at SW 37th and Burlingame was robbed just after 8:30 p.m. It's not known whether any of the incidents was related.
