TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Investigators say the teen at the center of the Thanksgiving Day AMBER Alert in Topeka wasn't abducted.

Lt. Andrew Beightel told 13 NEWS that Shaquan Mitchell, 16, actually went along willingly with 19-year-old Trevon Williams and 19-year-old Montrel Drayton just after midnight that morning.

Drayton and Williams were later booked for aggravated burglary after police say they entered a home at 1176 SW Woodhull Road, ordered everyone to the ground, and stole televisions.

The AMBER Alert was issued after witnesses said the pair took Mitchell at gunpoint. It was canceled about an hour after Mitchell showed up to the Law Enforcement Center with a relative.
