Suspect arrested in string of Topeka robberies

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A 36-year-old man was arrested Monday in connection with a string of robberies at Topeka businesses.

According to the Topeka Police Dept., Terrance Hartz was taken into custody shortly around 9:15 p.m. following a traffic stop in the 1200 block of SW Taylor St.

He was booked into Shawnee Co. jail on counts including robbery and allegedly violating his parole. His bond was set at $15,000.

Investigators had reportedly been searching for Hartz after multiple businesses, including Vanderbilt's and the Walmart on MacVicar, had been robbed.
