TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A third person was arrested Tuesday in connection with an August food truck robbery as well as bakery robbery the previous day that also allegedly included one of the other suspects.

According to the Topeka Police Dept., Ernesto Negrete, Jr., was taken into custody and booked on two counts each of aggravated robbery and theft as well as a single count of aggravated assault and multiple Topeka bench warrants.

Investigators say Negrete teamed up with Victor Arellano and Javier Martinez to rob the Ibannos Grill Food Truck on August 29 when two armed men reportedly entered the taco truck and demanded money. Martinez was arrested a day after the incident.

Last Thursday, Topeka police announced the arrest of a second suspect in that holdup. In addition to that allegation, Arellano - along with Negrete - is accused in an armed robbery at the Panderia Monterrey Bakery on August 28, when a man went into the shop, armed with a handgun, and demanded money.

Anyone with information about the either incident is asked to call the Topeka Police Dept. Criminal Investigation Bureau at 785-368-9400 or Shawnee Co. Crime Stoppers at 785-234-0007. Anonymous tips can also be made online at www.p3tips.com/128.
