Study: Kansas is weak when it comes to women's equality

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) A new report shows Kansas isn't doing very well when it comes to Women's Equality.

Personal Finance website WalletHub ranked Kansas as 41st out of 50 states in a recent study regarding equal treatment between men and women.

The study compared things like income gap, how many women make up the state's minimum wage workers compared to men, women's unemployment, and even things like the number of women in the state legislature.

Maine, Hawaii, and Nevada rounded out the top three when it comes to Women's Equality, Texas, Idaho and Utah were at the bottom.
