PAKISTAN (Ap) -- A string of avalanches buried dozens of people alive in Pakistan.
At least 70 people are dead and the toll is expected to rise, with many still missing.
Much of the devastation is in Pakistan-controlled Kashmir, where heavy snow and rainfall triggered landslides and flooding.
The military is using helicopters to evacuate people stranded in rural areas while other choppers are dropping food and survival kits until more help arrives.
The unprecedented weather shows no sign of letting up, as more snowfall is forecast for the rest of the week.
