Stretch of K-9 in Marshall Co. reopens

FRANKFORT, Kan. (WIBW) -- UPDATE: KDOT confirmed the closed portion of the K-9 highway is now open.

Storm damage has closed a Marshall Co. highway Wednesday morning.

The Kansas Dept. of Transportation says K-9 from the city of Frankfort to the U.S. 77/K-9 junction has been shut down.

KDOT spokesperson Kim Stich told 13 NEWS power lines and trees are down and lying on the road.

She said crews don’t expect it to reopen until late Wednesday afternoon.
