The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has rescinded a stream advisory for the Kansas River along the area between Wamego and Belvue in Pottawatomie County.

The advisory was issued on September 20, 2019, because of potential elevated bacteria and contaminants in that stretch of the river from Wamego's wastewater.

The KDHE says repairs have been completed and water samples now show no health risk in the river.
