TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Stormont Vail Health and Children’s Mercy Kansas City announced Wednesday afternoon their intent to affiliate, bringing advanced pediatric services to Shawnee County and the surrounding areas.
Stormont Vail Health specializes in pediatric specialty services through their Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Oncology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Endocrinology and more.
Children’s Mercy has been serving patients in Kansas and Missouri for over 100 years and has been named one of the best children’s hospitals in America for five consecutive years by US News & World Report.
Stormont Vail and Children’s Mercy will work together to build on Stormont Vail’s current services and expand to include on-site and telemedicine services from Children’s Mercy.

They also provide teleconsulting services and backup pediatric oncology and pediatric ophthalmology services.
