TOPEKA (WIBW)--- Topeka's Center for Peace and Justice, marks the King holiday with its 27th annual 'Soup Supper.'
Dozens of people 'Remembering the Dream' came into El Shaddai Ministries for the ceremonies.
Alpha Kappa Alpha students at Washburn University volunteered to serve up the hot bowls of soup for an hour of fellowship before the evening program began.
The Shawnee Choral Society opened the service in songs honoring the civil rights leader. The Topeka Community Mass Choir also joined in with its selections.
The audience also heard an address about 'The Dream' from JUMP Community Organizer Shanae Holman Monday night.
