Shooting in central Topeka sends two to the hospital

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Two men are expected to be okay after one of them was shot, and the other hurt in Central Topeka last Saturday night.

According to Topeka Police, they were called to 13th and Polk just before midnight, after an altercation between two men became physical.

Officers found one man shot in the head outside the apartment house, and another suffering from a head wound.

The man shot was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but was stabilized and his injuries are said to be non-life threatening. The other man was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Detectives interviewed witnesses and determined they are not searching for anyone else connected to the shooting.
