NEOSHO RAPIDS, Kan. (WIBW) -- The 55-year-old man killed in a weekend fire in Neosho Rapids died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries.

Firefighters found Daniel H. Lambeth's body inside the home Sunday while battling the blaze. The Lyon Co. Sheriff's Office released the results of the county coroner's report on Tuesday.

The home, in the 700 block of Mulberry St., was fully engulfed in flames when members of the Lyon Co. First Responders and the Emporia Fire Dept. arrived around 5 p.m. on Sunday, the Sheriff's Office said.

The Lyon Co. Sheriff's Office says investigators were unable to determine the cause of the fire, although they were able to conclude it starting in the living room.
