Sheriff: Horton man caught driving Topeka stolen car

HORTON, Kan. (WIBW) -- A Horton man was arrested Tuesday evening after being caught behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle, according to the Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office.

Ronnie Lee Brandenburg, Jr., was arrested following a traffic stop by a Jackson Co. Sheriff's Office Deputy on U.S. 75, south of Mayetta, Sheriff Time Morse explained. During the stop, the deputy realized the 1990 Lexus had been reported stolen in Topeka.

Brandenburg, 48, was taken into custody on counts of felony possession of stolen property and driving while suspended.

As of Wednesday morning, he was awaiting bond in the Jackson Co. jail, Morse added.
