TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A warrant operation focused in and around the Montara community south of Topeka netted 15 arrests.
Shawnee Co. Sheriff Brian Hill said the agency's Fugitive Warrants and Operations Division conducted the effort Thursday.
Hill said deputies attempted to serve 44 warrants. Of those, they were able to serve 16 warrants from district court and two from municipal court.
The sheriff's office says the warrants were for:
4 criminal misdemeanor warrants: Domestic battery, Criminal use of a financial card, Interference with a law enforcement officer, Criminal damage to property
1 juvenile misdemeanor warrant
7 misdemeanor traffic warrants
4 misdemeanor civil warrants for fail to appear
2 municipal court warrants for fail to appear
