Sedgwick Co. Sheriff's Office searching for deputy linked to felony investigation

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help to located Deputy Derick A. Chandler.

They say he disappeared in the early morning hours of Monday, Aug. 12, after he was identified as a suspect in a felony investigation being conducted by the Wellington Police Department and the Sumner County Sheriff's Office.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says Chandler was driving a 2015 white Dodge Charger with a black stripe and temporary 60-day tag.

"He may be a harm to himself or others," the sheriff's office says.

He has been with the sheriff's office for 1 year and 10 months.

Anyone who sees Deputy Chandler or knows of his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
