Second Topeka Dollar General location robbed in less than 48-hours

The search is underway for two men who held up an East Topeka Dollar General Tuesday morning.

The Topeka Police Department says they were called to the store at Southeast 6th and Golden around 8:15 a.m. on reports of a robbery.

Officials are looking for two white men who were both armed when they entered the store and demanded money.

TPD says both men were wearing black masks, one had on a grey sweatshirt and other was wearing a white shirt. They were last seen fleeing south.

This is the second armed robbery at a Topeka Dollar General in less than 48-hours.

Sunday night, Topeka Police were called to the location at 45th and SE California after two armed black men entered the store, injured one employee and fled on foot.

Those two suspects remain on the run.
