TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- Driving near Lake Sherwood got a lot easier this week.
The bridge between SW 37th Street, between Indian Hills and Auburn Road, is now open.
Shawnee County Public Works closed the bridge in February because of holes they found in the steel beams. The beam's holes made the bridge structurally deficient.
The bridge was built in 1974 and cost about $533,000.
